Duties and Responsibilities
St. Ann's runs a licensed bingo every Thursday from 7 to 9, and proceeds go to our building maintenance fund. Volunteers are needed on a weekly basis to call the bingo numbers and to help set up, run the bingo machine and handle cash for the evening. Bingo volunteers working with cash require a police check.
Duties: Depending on the role you play during the evening, duties could include calling the bingo numbers, sitting at the cash table, or other jobs and responsibilities in running a smooth evening. Bingo volunteers are essential. You must be able to commit to your evening or find someone to replace you. There are no paid staff on duty.
Qualifications: We are looking for dependable people who are trustworthy and good with working with others and working as a team.
Commitment: We are looking for bingo volunteers to serve approximately monthly from September to June. There is no bingo during the summer.
Scheduling and Training: Training and scheduling are done by the bingo coordinator on a yearly basis or, in the case of new volunteers, during the year, at that time.
